Its quiet important functionality. I have to search using fulltext retrieve IDs and than page it using hibernate. Its quiet weird. I wanted to submit bug to Hibernate Search, but it's quiet difficult to provide test case.

Yes it is still an issue.

To be fair, I don't think we'll ever solve this. We can not do this efficiently while guaranteing correctness, so I'd rather prefer to document "don't do this" and encourage people to look at their problem carefully as the developer can often find alternative efficient solutions, which we can't automate.
