I want to map mysql set datatype. I wanna know if there is any predefined type for that or I should write a custom type. If custom type is the solution, any suggestions on how to implement it. Is EnhancedUserType is the right interface to implement for this.

There is no built-in Hibernate type to support MySQL SET data type. You can start by implementing the UserType interface, but you'll still have to rely on native queries for SET operations (e.g. FIND_IN_SET, & operator).
