On older versions of Hibernate, there has been a hibernate-annotations jar that provided, for example, the @BatchSize annotation. This has been merged into the hibernate-core jar.

Is there no annotations jar anymore?

I was wondering if it is possible build a jar that provides the entities, but without depending on the entire hibernate framework. I would like to share/reuse these entities on another environments that do work with a database.
