Hi all,
I have problem when trying to save large files in an Oracle 11g database, I am using Spring and Hibernate 3.6.9 as JPA implementation.
The persistence uses Spring and is configured as follow:
Code:
<bean id="entityManagerFactory"
class="org.springframework.orm.jpa.LocalContainerEntityManagerFactoryBean">
<property name="dataSource" ref="dataSource" />
<property name="jpaVendorAdapter">
<bean class="org.springframework.orm.jpa.vendor.HibernateJpaVendorAdapter">
<property name="databasePlatform" value="org.hibernate.dialect.Oracle10gDialect" />
<property name="generateDdl" value="false" />
</bean>
</property>
<property name="jpaDialect">
<bean class="org.springframework.orm.jpa.vendor.HibernateJpaDialect" />
</property>
<property name="loadTimeWeaver">
<bean class="org.springframework.instrument.classloading.InstrumentationLoadTimeWeaver" />
</property>
<property name="jpaProperties">
<props>
<prop key="hibernate.dialect">org.hibernate.dialect.Oracle10gDialect</prop>
<prop key="hibernate.connection.SetBigStringTryClob">true</prop>
<prop key="hibernate.jdbc.batch_size">0</prop>
<prop key="hibernate.jdbc.use_streams_for_binary">true</prop>
</props>
</property>
</bean>
The entity I want to persist contains a column defined like:
Code:
@Column(name = "FILE_OBJECT")
@Lob
private byte[] fileObject;
...
I encouter this stackTrace:

I tried to replace the byte[] with a java.sql.Blob (to use the BlobMutabilityPlan) and avoid the copy of the array, then the error vanished but the blob is set to null in the database.
If someone can help me to understand what is wrong (config, code, other...) ? Because I have no idea to fix this issue :-(
