Our application are running well using Hibernate Search with Annotations. My only problem is that we often have to do some batch inserting manually on our db because we need add some data from time to time.

Is it possible that we can perform incremental indexing after non-hibernate updates, or we have to delete the whole index and re-create it every time?

Thanks a lot for any help.

Hi,
assuming you know which identifiers have changed, you can use the index() API scrolling on your updated entities to update them, extending the example at:

http://docs.jboss.org/hibernate/search/4.2/reference/en-US/html_single/#search-batchindex-flushtoindexes
