Hi,
nobody is developing the module itself, but many of the features provided by it are now being integrated directly into Hibernate core v.4:

http://in.relation.to/Bloggers/MultitenancyInHibernate

so yes, basically the module is dead, but the functionality is not lost and is getting a more appropriate home.

cool!
Then I guess you already know about Hibernate4 & multitenancy. Make sure to mention as well:
[*]the Infinispan 2nd level cache
[*]Hibernate Search
[*]Hibernate OGM
As they're all important components to get great scalability.

what kind of event is it? let us know if you have thoughts yourself or get interesting feedback at your talk.

Hi Sanne,

Can you explain your statement
Quote:

a bit further? I tried to visit the links you provided but they're not loading.

What I'd really like to know what has been integrated into the core and what has not? Does Hibernate still have a valid sharding option or has it fallen by the wayside?

what do you mean by "not loading" ? they seem to work fine.

to better answer your question, what kind of sharding had you in mind exactly? there are so many ways to accomplish this. I'd suggest to listen to the webinar first.

They're loading now. I'll listen to the webinar.

We've been discussing whether or not to break our database into several different horizontal shards.

Thanks.
