file org\hibernate\validator\NotEmpty.class not found

I'm working on a Seam 2.2.0.GA project, and I'm using Hibernate Validator 3.1.0.GA for validation. I'm building with Maven.

In my EJB module, I have a domain class called Client. I put @NotEmpty and @Length constraint annotations on the class's getters as appropriate. Builds and works great.

Here's the kicker... in the same EJB module (albeit a different package), I have another domain class called User. When I try to build the project after having added the appropriate @NotEmpty and @Length annotations as I did in the Client class, I receive the failure output below. I'm not terribly experienced with Maven, so I don't know if Maven is the problem (maybe my dependencies aren't defined correctly?) or what... but it's really strange that the project builds fine with a validated Client class, but not both Client and User.

Any help whatsoever would be greatly appreciated!

I don't think Maven is the problem here as an exception within the compiler itself occurs. Searching the web for "com.sun.tools.javac.code.Symbol$CompletionFailure: file not found" indicates that this might be actually a bug within the javac compiler (possibly this one). You might check whether the problem exists with JDK 6/7 and/or other compilers (e.g. within Eclipse).
