Hi,

I have a web application where I use a different JPA provider than Hibernate (and it is also currently not possible for me to migrate). Can I nevertheless use Hibernate Search for full-text searching or is it required to have Hibernate as a JPA provider?

thanks,
andr

Hi Andr,
I'm sorry it requires to use Hibernate, internally it uses many of the non-standard functions exposed by Hibernate.
It might be possible in future, maybe if someone contributes changes for that: it wouldn't be an easy patch but we could give some advise about how to best to it. I can't promise it though, as I doubt the other implementations have all features needed for such an integration - maybe it's possible but having some reduced functionality.
