I have an old basic java app that I'm looking at, not app server based but just your run of the mill Java app with Hibernate 3.2.1 is this easy and worth updating to a later version?

I'm a total noob with Hibernate so any advice on this is most welcome.

generally newer versions fix many issues, but if it was working fine for you before and you're a noob I wouldn't recommend it.

Thanks for the reply, the latest jar doesnt cause any compilation issues so might give it a whirl for testing
