I am using hibernate with struts with MySQL Database in an application. i am having a problem of connection polling using with C3P0 Properties. Connection is break automatically in 8 hours , but i want it to make continue..
can you help me to resolve my problem.

Is c3P0 properties better for connection pooling in hibernate or context.xml file ????

which version of Hibernate?
it should work the same way configured in both places. Enable logging and make sure you actually are using c3p0.
