How can I map a String to a MySQL type LONGTEXT?

Mapping:
Code:
<property name="myString" type="string" not-null="true" length="2000000000" />

generates MEDIUMTEXT, and increasing length is not possible because then I get NumberFormatException.

Of course I can modify the column type by hand so this is not a big issue, but it would be nice if the Schema Export tool could generate the table structure for me.

Actually it is case sensitive. This is what Hibernate expects:

Code:
<property name="myString" type="string">
   <column name="myString" sql-type="longtext"/>
</property>
