Hibernate / Postgre Compatibility

Hi,

we would like to set up an production environment with jboss 5.1, hibernate 3.3.1 and postgreDB 8.4. I found an community document that says that there are no compatibility with hibernate and postgreDB > 8.1. Is this information correct? I can't realy imagine that, because the days of postgreDB 8.1 where in the stoneage. May anybody give me some hints?

I haven't got any problem with PostgreSQL 8.3 and hibernate 3.3.2.GA...so, the documentation you've cited seems not very reliable..can you share with us your address?
