I have a date column defined as java.util.Date in the mapping file and java.util.Date in the bean. When pulling a record from the db the variable is always null. Really can't get my head round this one.

...
public Date getDueDate()          {return this.dueDate;   }
public void setDueDate(Date d)    {this.dueDate = d; 

I'm using Oracle 10g.
