We successfully deployed Hibernate Search this weekend (free text in our apps finally!). Just wanted to say thanks to everyone who has helped answering questions and diagnose coding problems.

Thanks!

congratulations :-)
Can you tell what kind of application it is? I'm sort-of collecting use case stories.

Hi,

It's a insurance/reinsurance trading platform. Previously there was no search component, and we did some crazy sql queries to perform "free text" like queries. Now a user can search across a range of data. Now i need to add some runtime stats on the index and also i need to add some operational stuff like indexing progress, etc.

Facet search is next.

about the indexing progress, WDYT about the org.hibernate.search.batchindexing.MassIndexerProgressMonitor ?
We didn't advertise this API yet as we still need to discuss it on dev-list, but would need more users and opinions. Could you try implementing yours and see if the API fits your needs?

Is that in 3.2 beta or avaialble in 3.1? If not I'll definitely give it a go. I'll check the documentation for the usage.

It's in the beta as it's part of the new MassIndexer. btw going to publish a blogpost today about the MassIndexer: keep an eye into http://in.relation.to/Bloggers/Sanne (not there yet)
