MySQL offers the ability for users to be defined whose connections use SSL either for encryption only or using X509 certificates.

When such a connection to mysql is desired a URL of the following form is required:

jdbc:mysql://host:port/db_name?useSSL=true&requireSSL=true

How can Hibernate be configured so as to emit a URL with these non-standard parameters?
