the Java Doc is accessible online at http://www.hibernate.org/hib_docs/v3/api/ and you could get the source from either the svn repository http://anonsvn.jboss.org/repos/hibernate/ or from the downloads.

I downloaded 3.2.2-GA and it had the reference manual but not thee API docs.

Hi, I think that Hibernate Javadoc is not included in recent Hibernate package. You can use online or download the 3.2.6.ga version and use that Javadoc. The documentation in recent version do not include de package-list file, so, is not a true Javadoc

I had the same Problem - wanted a compiled JavaDoc package (which btw. yes, unfortunately is not in the downloadable release). I found one here:
