Hibernate code generation tool not working in eclipse

I create a code generation configuration setup a reveng file with the entities to be created. I create a console configuration and can connect to the database and see the various tables. But when I run the code generation configuration no code gets created.

Are you ensuring in your Hibernate Code Generation Configurations settings you are providing correct options ?

In the main screen are you specifying console configuration and output directory,

In the Main Tab,

1. you need to check the 'Reverse engineer from JDBC Connection'

In the Exporters Tab,

1. you need to check the kind of exporter you need

..and what database are you using ?

If oracle remember to use uppercase shcema's.

the code configuration settings seem correct. I have checked the reverse engineer from JDBC Connection and i have checked in the exporters DAO code and hibernate xml mappings and have set a reveng file.
I am using mysql as database.

Still no progress on this. I am stuck with this problem. whenever i click on generate i don't get any new files. Is there a way around this ?

anything in the error log ?

Can you browse the db via the reveng.xml editor ? console tree ?

where do i access the error log? in eclipse it doesn't show me any errors

as for browsing the database yes I can do that in both the reveng.xml editor and the console tree. I see the tables and everything.

Window > Show View > Error Log
