 Post subject: Shards project status ?

Can someone confirm the status of the shards project. The latest release is dated as over a year ago and was a beta. Did the project stop, I couldn't see any evidence of activity in jira.
I think shards could be a good fit for my project so any anecdotes on usage of it would be good to hear.

Apologies if wrong place to post, I couldn't find project specific contact details.

Thus RIP, Shards? Dunno, loved the idea.

As I understood a year ago the project was in great need of development help - I guess this did not happen.

Yes, please what happened to Shards? We would consider it as an alternative to Gigaspaces XAP.
Instead of space partitions we could have had SQL in-memory DB like hypersonic HSQL and
shards as a front-end. What did really happen to it?
