Hi,
from what I understood, for a database, hibernate search can index a table with certain of its column so that we can make a word research on the class that is mapped to that table. Is it possible to index at the same time all the tables of the database so that we can make a word research faster on the whole database ? Thank-you for your answer.

Hi,
yes that's possible, the default configuration is to put each different entity in it's own index, but you can choose to have more than one (even all) entities in the same index.

There are better alternatives however: you don't need to put all entities in the same index to create queries across all types: Hibernate Search is capable of doing "parallel" searches on all indexes and return you just one result transparently; you only have to list the types you want to be considered for searching, this decision you make during query creation so it's more flexible in case you change you mind later on.
