I'm having the same problem as this thread :

When DTOs are mapped to POJOs they lose there session relevance, so when mapping them back to DTOs they create new instances.
That is when Hibernate decides to delete and insert the same objects BUT with different IDs. (which in my case is not acceptable)

I've tried Dozer (http://dozer.sourceforge.net) and Hibernate4GWT (http://hibernate4gwt.sourceforge.net)

Nothing works like I would hope.

I would expect those libraries to search for given IDs to see if the object exists and update it, not create a new instance of the same object.

Any ideas ?
