Hi,

I want a many to one relationship however I want the IdClass object instead of the actual entity object.

synthetic example:

@Entity
@IdClass(PlanetPk.class)
class Planet {

}

@Entity
class Ship {

@ManyToOne
PlanetPk homeWorld;

}

Why:

I do not want to manage lazy loading and detached objects. I want to force the retrieval of the object in all scenarios by its ID however I want hibernate to enforce referential integrity.

Advice?

-Tim
