Hello,

I was previously using Hibernate Search 3.0.1.GA and everything worked fine.
I tried to upgrade to 3.1.0 Beta 1 and got this error :

org.hibernate.HibernateException: could not instantiate RegionFactory [org.hibernate.cache.impl.bridge.RegionFactoryCacheProviderBridge]
at org.hibernate.cfg.SettingsFactory.createRegionFactory(SettingsFactory.java:389)
at org.hibernate.cfg.SettingsFactory.buildSettings(SettingsFactory.java:248)
at org.hibernate.cfg.Configuration.buildSettings(Configuration.java:2078)
at org.hibernate.cfg.Configuration.buildSessionFactory(Configuration.java:1302)
at org.hibernate.cfg.AnnotationConfiguration.buildSessionFactory(AnnotationConfiguration.java:854)

I didn't change anything else (downgrading to 3.0.1 GA puts it working again).

I'm using PostgreSQL 8.2, Hibernate-Core 3.3.0.CR1.

Any idea ?

Hi,

it seems you are using a custom bridge. Have a look at the migration guide (http://www.hibernate.org/424.html). The Bridge interface has changed.
