JBoss 4.2.2

Interesting thing, when named queries are defined in mapping xml files. We thought that we needed to wrap quesies as CDATA when there were signs like >= or < etc, otherwise the xml file is not even well formed. However when we tried not to wrap, we found that Hibernate didn't care, although the xml file is not well formed, Hibernate worked fine!

Why was that? What does Hibernate do behind the scene?

It's all in the parser, isn't it?

It is all in the parser, true. But you would first expect it to be a usual xml parser, looks like not.
