I have the following code in my Test.bean

It doesn't delete a row until I wrote

Transaction t = s.beginTransaction(); at the top of my page, but I can select rows from database without using transaction. I don't know that is it required (Transaction) for all delete operation on database.

Code:
Query q2 = s.getNamedQuery("country.delete");
      q2.setParameter("cName", new String("Turkey"),Hibernate.STRING);
      q2.executeUpdate();

thank you for answers
