Hello,

We are beginning the development of a new application and we have to choose an OR mapping tool.
A criteria is the support of LINQ.
Do you know the release date of NHibernate 2.0 and LINQ to NHibernate ?

Thank you.

Best regards

I would love a status update. I am currently trying to decide between ADO.NET Entity Framework and nHibernate 2.0. It is critical that whatever ORM framework we decide on allows database table "inheritance". My understanding is nHibernate 1.2 doesn't support this.

Take a look at the JIRA there are currently 12 Issues in the 2.0 Alpha1. So i guess these will have to be fixed/closed before the 2.0 Alpha1 is released. And then there would be Alpha and Beta relases before the final 2.0 release. Besides this i assume that there is some documentation work before the guys at the team can release.

I guess the reason for no fixed date set by the team is that they all work on nHibernate in their sparetime so its probably not easy to know how much "nHibernating time" there will be in the nearest future.

My suggestion what be to evaluate whether you are willing to take the shot at running off the trunk (or the first alpha release beeing available).

NHibernate 1.2 supports mapping database tables to an object oriented inheritance hierachy using a couple of models you can read about in the documentation.[/quote]
