Hi,

I will buy this book either as an ebook or as printed. But before that, i want to know, whether there is a plan for the third edition of the book. If there is one approximately how much time will it take till to publishing? 6 month, a year?

thank you.

There are currently no plans for a 3rd edition.

Thank you.

Is there any need at all (any relevant change in hibernate)?

Just to let you guys know somethings about JP with Hibernate ( which was the new edition of Old Hibernate in Action ) and my two cents on it :

Although you'd find my raving reviews on Amazon on it; on the second thought, i think that book has become too bloated and is now sufficient to be called a desk reference. I miss those golden days when i could go through Hibernate in Action and fall in love with Hibernate over and over ... and then again checking out the actual hibernate source ...

EJB3 things added should have been in a different book personally. just some thoughts ...

I love both the books though, but some thought should go into what kind of books you are churning out ...
