Can I use the hibernate tools from RAD 7.0 to view and edit the .hbm files using tools editor? Also does it support XDoclet hibernate tags and related ANT tasks to generate the .hbm files and then export/update/validate the task?

Is JBoss IDE for Eclise is a open source product or comes with a price tag?

So far, to generate the .hbm files I add XDoclet tags to POJO and then run the XDoclet from ANT.

Is there any other easy way to integrate hibernate with RAD 7.0?

1) I do not know what vewrsion of eclipse it is based on but once you know then pick out the apprpriate plugins - but you appear really not to need any

2) JBossIDE is open source - no price tag

3) XDoclet is one approach - not a bad approach. Its an architectural choice. I am still building a large application using XDoclet to generate HBMs. Over the next year or so we will be moving to Annotations.

4) You have the options above. You could use full eclise or partially use it depending on what you need to get done.
