Hi!

I already asked that question at the german forum, but I got no answer:

Is there any dialect (org.hibernate.dialect) for MSSQL 6.5?

I have found the following dialects:

1. SQLServerDialect: Seems to support only MSSQL 2000 and 2005

2. SybaseDialect: Supports according to the Hibernate-API MSSQL, but there is no information about the supported versions of MSSQL. Does anybody know if SybaseDialect supports MSSQL 6.5?

Thanks.

There's one way to find out, isn't there :)

Dialect is a user extension point so you can easily modify/extend the shipped dialects to suit your needs. The Dialects are pretty well commented so when you see issues, it is pretty simple to modify the dialect to get around them - most of the time.
