Thanks. We are still in transition and I don't have access yet to the hibernate.org website. I am planning on updating a few other things there, such as the road map, once I have access.

Thanks, Karl -- the <join> tag for subclasses isn't in this release, right? I tried it out and it didn't work so ... I reverted to the custom-built batch.

Correct, the <join> feature is not in this release; and it will not be in the 1.2 series of releases. It will be included in the 2.0 release amongst a whole lot of other features. Stay tuned for a road map update in December.
