Hello,

if i understand correct, the @Boost annotation sets the default boost factor, if nothing else was said within the query. I'm using the @Fields annotation and would annotate only one of @Fields with default @Boost (or different boosts for different fields) . Is it possible now? If not, could this feature be a meaningful improvement?

Possible something like:

Code:
@Fields({
@FieldDef(value=@Field(..),boost=@Boost(..))
})

Thanks, Gena

Please add a JIRA issue, it's not possible today. But I have hard time understanding how that can be useful. The only usecase I've seen so far for @Fields is to be able to sort by a given property. this property does not need ot be boosted.
