Just curious if using this gives a performance gain? I know JPA 1 doesn't have indexing so does provide that functionality?

In addition, if I have a bi-directional @OneToMany I need to remove the mappedby and the original owning side of the relationship and use some workaround where you have to provide a getPosition method?

Thanks, S.D.

Anyone? I haven't found any documentation really defining the need for @IndexColumn or the advantages/disadvantages.

I'm also trying to use @IndexColumn.
Did you find you answer? It will be great if you can share it.

Thank you,
Ido.
