I am using Hibernate currently, But I am facing Performance problem with Hibernate

Problem-
When 50 concurrent user execute a query from Hibernate simultaneously, I takes nearly 500 milliseconds (average),
but when run same query for 50 concurrent user from JDBC , it takes nearly 16 milliseconds (average).

I am not able to understand , why hibernate is degrading performance of query 30 times.
