I'm finding it slow going trying to read it cover to cover so how else do you propose reading it?

Pretty much read cover to page 361 so far but like I said it's slow going.

Read it completely and skip sections that start with "You only need to read this if you need it" and sections that end with "the next section is optional, you only need it if you want it".

Perhaps you need Talking Books - http://forum.hibernate.org/viewtopic.php?t=978819

See Christian - that's one customer right there! ;-)

Hi,

In two idays reached only page 175, that includes time I spent to try the "Hello world" from the h-core version to h-annotated to finally jpa version. My need is simple, I just want to persist some classes in a web application, but seems the book covers EJB as well which I'm not going to use, can anybody advise me what chapters to read some more before starting to code? I found JPA version of "Hello world" very natural, so easy to grasp, what lacking in my reading maybe some association mappings? Thanks.
