does anyone know what i should use for the hibernate core and annotations copyright?
i see redhat mentioned quite a bit. is there some dates? i used it in a small free hobby project i made and can't find what to use.

If you are just using hibernate core, the copyright of individul pieces is of no concern. The distribution license is what you need to be aware of (especially if you modify hibernate core code), we have an FAQ about it.
