Let's say you have Foo and Bar and there is a relationship with many-to-many multiplicity between these entities. Now it doesn't make sense to say "If I delete a Foo, go ahead and delete all the Bar's that are referenced by this Foo". Why? Because these Bar's are most likely still referenced by other Foo's.
