Is there any current annotation support for specifying a Hibernate objects unsaved value or specifying a column's default value?
<p>
I would like to specify either one in order to stop Hibernate from creating a test object to guess its unsaved value.

I have the same problem and I search on forums and I reached the conclusion that there is no annotation support for specifying a column's default value. This is very strange since in the xml mapping you can put default value for a column.
I am not sure if I am right but maybe someone from the hibernate team can help us ?
Please guys we really need help ! :)

Any ideas ? Any progress from you ? How did you solve this issue ? I certainly don't want to save all my default "0" values of e.g. an int[] ...

Any hint is very welcome!
Thank you,
Markus
