i have only a general question about this exception:

"object references an unsaved transient instance - save the transient instance before flushing: com.at.Person"

means this exception that the object "person " is the unsaved instance or that exists a unsaved object in "person"

you are trying to save child data without saving the parent.
your child record is not updated with parent id.

thx.. but is what is the object "Person", the child or the parent?

I faced the same issue when some how parent id was not getting set to
child record. And i was trying to save that.
