I set class's property [lazy] : lazy="true" in the XX-hbm-xml,

and add [not-found] property into [many-to-one] as value "ignore":

<many-to-one
...
not-found="ignore"
...
/>

but when I execute Query, I find it does not fetch lazily .

Just discovered the same while debugging performance issues. Doesn't seem to make sense as 'expected behavior'. We must be able to define '0-n' rerlationships and lazy load.

Is there any workaround?

I stumbled onto the asme problem. Did you find a solution allready.
