hi all,

i'm fairly new to hibernate and not really a database expert and i'm having trouble coming up with a subselect. i have AlarmGroup and Point entities that are related through an xref table such that we have a many to many relationship. what i'd like to do is find all the Points that are not in a particular alarm group. the sql i can handle, it would look like this:

select * from point where id not in ( select point_id from alarm_group where alarm_group_id = ? )

i can't seem to translate that into hql. can someone help me out?

from point where point.id not in (select alarmGroup.point_id from AlarmGroup alarmGroup where alarmGroup.alarm_group_id = :alarmGroupId)
