Hibernate version:3

I could able to get the count of the records as there in the database.
The problem is I have an Id class and an actual class corresponding to the hbm file.
The purpose of creating this Id file is as I do not have the primary key in my view.
I had created a composite key of all the columns in the view
Database version:Oracle 9i

Can't you just use a hibernate-generated sequence number for the id column?
