how to use sequence generator with no cache ?

Hi,

I'm using the <generator class="sequence"> attribute and it creates a sequence on my Oracle database.

The sequence is setup as having a cache of 20, which basically increments the sequence by 20+ the increment value. Is there a way I can set the sequence to have NOCACHE when it is created in Oracle or does hibernate not have any control over this ?

mmm, well your post is interesting, because in our project the default value of sequence fetching is just one,... I believe you changed the default behavior with some settings

hi Pasha,

It seems that the cache level is set by the database. I had a chat with one of our DBA's about it and our database instances are setup to have the cache set to 20.

Are there any Hibernate Guru's out there that can tell me if we can set the CACHE level from our hbm.xml files ?
