Hibernate 3.0.5

Hello,

We use hibernate 3.0.5 to access an oracle database on an alpha server (OpenVMS).
On Sunday our processes are started and up and running till saturday. These processes are using hibernate to access the oracle database.
The problem we have is that the processes generate buffered I/O, also when no users are using the application. This problem gets worse at the end of the week.
The strange thing is that when there"s no activity at all (process runs, but is not used), there"s always buffered I/O.

Does anyone has a similar problem or a solution?

Thanx,

BR
