Hi Everyone,

I am new to "Hibernate with JPA". Just want to know what is advantages of "Hibernate with JPA" over "Hibernate" (or) "Hibernate" over "JPA"

You benefit from the standard JavaEE APIs and you can alwways fallback to the native Hibernate ones.

* Use Java Persistence API, that's the standard.

* Use the implementation that's available in GlassFish because that's a compatible implementation of the JPA spec.

I think you are wrong here if you want to promote the Glassfish JPA implementation.

Of course, I assume you wanted to say "Use the implementation that's available with Hibernate because that's a compatible implementation of the JPA spec."

"theorctically" you can switch to hibernate from glassfish implementation ( or anyother ) later if you use JPA api....

Use Hibernate, it is compatible with JPA as well and it has tons of additional features that are not in TopLink essentials.
