 Post subject: mysql - hibernate gets old data

this one is really strange.
i use a native query like "select number from table where uid = 12345" and get the correct result.
then, i change the table's content - and get the same result until i restart hibernate.
i tested this on another table, but there, it worked.

what is going on? this can't be the second level or query cache - it's disabled, hibernate shows the sql queries.

the problem does not occur with any of my sql tools.
