I saw this method in a hibernate3.2 class. I just want to know this method works.

There is no such method on the Hibernate API. I assume you are still confusing the useless Spring wrapper stuff with Hibernate.

So this is Spring? I inherited an application and it's using this method, well I'm using Spring. It actually saves my data but I just want to know how it works on updating.
