Hibernate version: 3.0
Ehcache version: 1.1

Hi Hibernaterz,

Can some one tell me how to use a subclass caching through configuration file directly. I am using ehcache to cache all the static data by the tag :
Quote:
<cache usage="read-only" />
in the hbm.

Somehow, the sublass dtd does not seem to support the above tag.

Is there some way/workaround for this or do i need to use Quey Cache or some other way to accomplish this.

Thanks in Advance.

*monu

if the root class is cached the subclasses will be too.

Sorry for responding late.

Thanks for the reply, i too guessed so , but later i discovered that actually the problem lied in the HibernateTemplate (of spring) "get" method when used with EHCache tries to delete and then insert data into database.
