I can't figure this bug out at all .. SchemaUpdate sets autoCommit to true, but as far as I can tell, that's a very bad thing to do. Even worse, this is
hard-coded in SchemaUpdate, so it appears there's no way around it. Hibernate is given a working connection; why is it trying to break it?
My problem is that I'm trying to use Hibernate beans within a database that mostly contains EJBs, with the code running under JBoss 3.2.7. JBoss controls the database connection, so I can't (and
seriously don't want to) change autoCommit there. Hibernate is hard-coded, so I can't change it there.
This is a show-stopper; I can't use Hibernate at all with this bug. Any ideas where to go next?
