Hi,

ein paar mehr Informationen wären hilfreich. Z.B. wie sieht die Konfiguration aus? Der Fehler zeigt eindeutig, dass der Pfad zum Treiber nicht stimmt.

Kannst Du mehr zeigen?

Gruß,

ak

Ich habe das gleiche Problem. Meine Konfiguration sieht folgender massen aus:
Der Java source
Code:
public class HibernateUtil {
    /** Logger for all instances of this class */
    private static final Log LOG = LogFactory.getLog(HibernateUtil.class);

    /** */
    private static final SessionFactory sessionFactory;

    public static final ThreadLocal session = new ThreadLocal();

    /**
     * create a sessionfactory using hibernate,cfg.xml in the root of
     * classpath.
     */
    static {
        try {
            // Create the SessionFactory
            sessionFactory = new Configuration().configure()
            .buildSessionFactory();

        } catch (Throwable ex) {
            LOG.error("Initial SessionFactory creation failed.", ex);
            throw new ExceptionInInitializerError(ex);
        }
    }

    /**
     * retruns a hibernate session. If it doesn't exist a new one will be
     * created.
     *
     * @return Hibernate Session existing or new hibernate session
     * @throws HibernateException
     */
    public static Session currentSession() throws HibernateException {

        Session s = (Session) session.get();
        // Open a new Session, if this Thread has none yet
        if (s == null) {
            s = sessionFactory.openSession();
            session.set(s);
        }
        return s;
    }

    /**
     * close the hibernate session
     *
     * @throws HibernateException
     */
    public static void closeSession() throws HibernateException {
        Session s = (Session) session.get();
        session.set(null);
        if (s != null)
            s.close();

    }
} // end of class HibernateUtil

Hibernate konfiguration
Code:
<hibernate-configuration>

     <session-factory>
         <property name="dialect">
             org.hibernate.dialect.PostgreSQLDialect
         </property>
         <property name="connection.driver_class">
             org.postgresql.Driver
         </property>
         <property name="connection.username">
             someuser
         </property>
         <property name="connection.password">
             someuserpassword
         </property>
         <property name="connection.url">
             jdbc:postgresql://localhost/database
         </property>

     </session-factory>

</hibernate-configuration>

Die Properties aus der Konfiguration sehen folgender massen aus:
Quote:
hibernate.cglib.use_reflection_optimizer=true
hibernate.connection.driver_class=org.postgresql.Driver
hibernate.connection.password=someuserpassword
hibernate.connection.url=jdbc:postgresql://localhost/database
hibernate.connection.username=someuser
hibernate.dialect=org.hibernate.dialect.PostgreSQLDialect

und hier das Fehlerprotokoll

liegt das ganze daran, dass die SessionFactory null ist? Und wenn ja, warum ist die Factory null?

Danke für jede Antwort.

Der Driver wurde gefunden, passt aber anscheinend nicht zur Datenbank

Also Treiber und Datenbank passen zusammen. Habe es mit einem standard JDBC Zugriff Versucht und es ging. Hier der Codeauszug dazu.
Code:
db = DriverManager.getConnection(url, user, password);
            assertNotNull("Connection to Database could not be " +
                "established.", db);

            DatabaseMetaData dbmd = db.getMetaData();

            LOG.debug("Conection established. Properties of DB are:" +
                "\n\tDB Name: " + dbmd.getDatabaseProductName() +
                "\n\tDB Major Version: " + dbmd.getDatabaseMajorVersion() +
                "\n\tDB Minor Version: " + dbmd.getDatabaseMinorVersion() +
                "\n\tDriver Name: " + dbmd.getDriverName() +
                "\n\tDriver Major Version: " + dbmd.getDriverMajorVersion() +
                "\n\tDriver Minor Version: " + dbmd.getDriverMinorVersion());

            PreparedStatement pstmt =
                db.prepareStatement("select * from tbl_user order by usr_id");

            ResultSet rs = pstmt.executeQuery();

            columns = rs.getMetaData().getColumnCount();
            assertEquals(3,columns);

            Vector colnames = new Vector();
            for (int i = 0; i < columns;) {
                colnames.add(rs.getMetaData().getColumnName(++i));
            }

            LOG.debug(colnames.toString());

            while (rs.next()) {
                StringBuffer line = new StringBuffer();
                for (Object o : colnames) {
                    line.append(rs.getObject(o.toString()));
                    line.append(',');
                }
                LOG.info(line.substring(0,line.length()-1));
            }

            rs.close();
            db.close();
        } catch (SQLException ex) {
            LOG.error(ex.getMessage(),ex);
        } finally {
            if (db != null) {

Ich hatte denselben Fehler. Der Grund war dass connection.url ungültig war. Da ich Oracle verwende, kann ich nicht sagen wie es bei postgresql aussehen sollte, aber wahrscheinlich ist da der Fehler zu suchen.
