Need help with Hibernate? Read this first:
http://www.hibernate.org/ForumMailingli ... AskForHelp

Hibernate version:
3.1

I have a date field (CYYMMDD) in my database that is stored as a numeric field (integer). I'd like to map this field to a java.util.Date field in my Java class.

What's the best way to do this? Is it through a UserType? Or is there a simpler way that I'm not seeing?

Thanks,
Curt
