Moin,

i have a lot of Collection, as a Tree:

a Root and alot of Facet:

Code:
<hibernate-mapping package="classification">
  <class name="classification.Root" table="tbROOT">
   <id name="id_h" column="ID_H" type="integer">
      <generator class="native"/>
    </id>
   <property name="id" column="ID" type="integer"/>
   <set name="facet" cascade="all">
      <key column="ID_H"/>
      <one-to-many class="classification.Facet"/>
   </set>
  </class>
</hibernate-mapping>

Code:
<hibernate-mapping package="classification">
  <class name="classification.Facet" table="tbFACET">
   <id name="id_h" column="ID_H" type="integer">
      <generator class="native"/>
    </id>
   <property name="id" column="ID" type="integer"/>
   <property name="name" column="NAME"/>
   <set name="nodes" cascade="all">
      <key column="ID_H"/>
      <one-to-many class="classification.AbsNode"/>
   </set>

  </class>
</hibernate-mapping>

My database is empty and i try to save a root with a lot of facets in the Collection:
Code:
Session session = sessionFactory.openSession();
      trans = session.beginTransaction();
      session.save(root);
      trans.commit();

But i get a "funny" error:
Quote:
ERROR - IllegalArgumentException in class: classification.Facet, getter method of property: id_h
Exception in thread "main" org.hibernate.PropertyAccessException: IllegalArgumentException occurred calling getter of classification.Facet.id_h

This might be a silly idea, but did you try renaming id_h (Facet object property) to idH, or something like that? That's what default db schema import tool for Hibernate does - drops underscore characters from column names and capitalizes the name parts. For example: BIRTH_DATE is birthDate, and then you have getBirthDate and setBirthDate methods.

Anyway, could you post your source code for Facet class?

HTH,

Bratek

what a stupid mistake, shame on me ;-)

Now every Class have there own ID (id_classname).

I,am so happy now ;-)
